Kerala Christian Assembly, Toronto, Pentecostal church having about 400 members seeks a senior full time pastor. A pastor with several years of experience in large church, preferably a post graduate degree in Theology from recognized Bible Seminary and fluency in Malayalam and English is a requirement.
The pastor must be committed to serving Christ and His church, as well as having the ability to lead, inspire, encourage, strengthen, counsel and guide individuals and families in their spiritual growth and walk with Christ. Candidates must have a love for Christ and a proficient knowledge of Scripture. Pastoral duties would include visiting congregation members along with regular pastoral duties as outlined in the detailed description which is available at our website. We are looking for someone who is energetic, motivated, passionate, and possesses a servant's heart.
Pastoral Requirements:
- Meet requirements of 1 Tim 3:1-7
- Prayerful dependence upon Jesus Christ in shepherding God’s flock
- Skilled and gifted communicator in preaching and teaching
- Approachable
- Ability to connect with broad range of age demographics of church family
- Takes initiative
- Goal oriented
- Pro-active rather than re-active
- Ability to work with board in planning, direction setting, and establishing accountability measures, etc.
- Purposeful involvement in community
- Pastor and spouse are ministry team
- Life experiences which contribute to a “well-rounded” character with the ability to relate to individuals from a variety of societal, cultural, and economic backgrounds
