OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
GOD: There is but one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is the almighty Creator, Saviour and Judge who governs all things according to His Sovereign will and is accomplishing His purpose in creation and in the Church to His glory.
THE BIBLE: The Bible is the complete Word of God. The sixty-six books, as originally written, comprising of the Old and the New Testaments, were verbally inspired by the Spirit of God and are therefore entirely free of error.
THE FATHER: God the Father is the source of all that is good. He initiated creation and redemption which He accomplishes through His Son and the Holy Spirit.
THE SON: Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh; we affirm his virgin birth, sinless humanity and divine miracles. He died on a cross, rose bodily and ascended to heaven where He is an advocate for His people and is exalted as Lord of all.
THE HOLY SPIRIT: The Holy Spirit makes the Word of Christ effective to sinners, giving spiritual life and placing them into the Church. He dwells in all believers, empowering them to love, serve, witness and obey God, equipping them with gifts, and transforming them to be increasingly like Christ.
SALVATION: Christs sacrificial death on the cross, in which He bore the punishment of sinners, is the only and all-sufficient basis of Gods provision of salvation for all people of every culture, age and gender, expressing His love and satisfying His justice. By Gods grace the repentant sinner, through trusting alone in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour, is put right with God, adopted by the Father into His family and receives eternal life.
THE CHURCH: The Universal Church is made up of all who have been born of the Spirit. It finds local expression in communities of believers called by God to worship, fellowship, proclaim the Gospel, and make disciples among all people, reflecting Gods character, engaging in works of compassion, contending for truth and justice, and celebrating baptism and communion.
